About

Electricity is everywhere. It provides you with heat, light, and power. Our Public Electrical Safety Education Program shares information about safety around electricity. Everyone encounters electricity in their daily lives. Electrical hazards are not always easy to detect and can be life threatening.

Our first responders often encounter electrical emergencies. Our program aims to keep first responders informed about electrical hazards so they can respond to these emergencies safely.

Industry workers and contractors encounter electricity in their daily work. Working safely around power and transmissions lines is critical, which our program also covers.

Schoolchildren learn about electricity and how it works through their curriculum. Our program extends that knowledge to electrical safety at home and outdoors, teaching students how to be aware of their surroundings and watch out for electrical hazards.

In the event an individual is involved in an electrical emergency, the goal of the Public Electrical Safety Education Program is to teach the above groups how to keep themselves and others safe.
